Upon joining the company, it became evident that the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) was not tracked, communicated or administered consistently in compliance with the law. The current human resources staff lacked the knowledge and tools to communicate leave requirements and expectations to employees.

Personally educated the human resources staff of the FMLA legal obligation to advise employees of their rights. Designed a process that allowed for the tracking of leave. Generated a standard for forms and letters to the employees. Directed the human resources staff to educate management on the importance of absenteeism tracking.

Prevented future legal ramifications for the company by having a deep-rooted knowledge of state and federal laws as they pertain to human resources.
