The company had an unstructured approach to charitable contributions and needed a better way to manage all organizations and donations. The company was a major employer providing support to charitable causes in the community, and it was feared that any reduction in contributions would produce a strain on community relations.

Formulized a committee to review the $1.25 million contribution budget. Listed and categorized 85 individual and organizational requests to more clearly visualize the magnitude of the company’s charitable impact. Identified valued charities and determined appropriate criteria for set contributions.
